Find hospitality staff
in Belgium

In hospitality, the flexi-job scheme has existed since 2015, longer than in any other sector. Cafés, restaurants and hotels use it to cover their weekend and evening peaks, alongside students who since 2025 may work up to 650 hours a year at reduced contributions. A venue posts a shift for floor, bar or kitchen on AnyShift and a shifter responds from the app.

Frequently asked questions about flexi-jobs in Hospitality

Who can do a flexi-job in hospitality?
Anyone who works at least four fifths for another employer or is retired qualifies for a flexi-job in hospitality. That condition is assessed on the third quarter before the employment, and hospitality is the sector where the scheme has existed since 2015. Students do not fall under that scheme but work on a student contract at reduced contributions.
Which hours and peaks are typical for hospitality shifts?
Most hospitality shifts fall on Friday and Saturday evenings, on Sunday afternoons and during the terrace season from April to September. Hotels also look for early breakfast shifts, and venues in tourist cities peak in summer and around the end of the year. A shift usually lasts four to eight hours, with a late finish for evening service.
What do I need to start in hospitality?
A valid identity card, a bank account and, for students, a current enrolment at a school or college. Experience with a till system, carrying trays or an espresso machine is a plus but not a requirement at every venue. Complete your profile with the tasks you already master, so a venue can quickly see what you can be deployed for.
How quickly can I start in hospitality after signing up?
As soon as your profile is complete and your identity is confirmed, you can respond to open hospitality shifts. Many venues post their weekend shifts a few days ahead, and at busy times shifts also appear for the same evening. The declaration is done digitally, so no paper contract is involved.
Can I work after midnight in hospitality as a student?
Yes, students aged 18 or over may also work late in the evening and after midnight in hospitality. Stricter rules on night work and rest periods apply to minors, and many venues give them lunchtime or early evening shifts. Check the finishing time of every shift, so you can also plan your journey home.
