2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember certain information, such as your language choice or your cookie preferences. Besides cookies, similar technologies may be used, such as local storage and session storage in your browser. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these technologies.
We classify cookies by their purpose:
- Necessary cookies - essential to make the website work and keep it secure. They are always set and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies - help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Only set with your consent.
- Marketing cookies - used to show relevant ads and measure campaign reach. Only set with your consent.
3. Which cookies do we use?
3.1 Necessary cookies (always active)
These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation and security of the website. At present we set only the following necessary cookies:
| Name | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| anyshift-session | Maintains your session during your visit (e.g. submitted forms, navigation). | Session (max. 120 minutes) |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms against forgery (CSRF protection). | Session |
| as_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so the consent bar does not reappear on every visit. | 12 months |
3.2 Analytics cookies (with consent)
Analytics cookies help us measure how the website is used (pages visited, time on site, technical errors) so we can improve our service. At present we do not set any analytics cookies. If we enable an analytics tool in the future, it will only load after you have given your consent, and this table will be updated with the name, the provider and the retention period.
3.3 Marketing cookies (with consent)
Marketing cookies are used to tailor advertising to your interests and to measure the reach and results of our campaigns. At present we do not set any marketing cookies. If we enable them in the future, this will only happen after your consent and this table will be updated.
4. Legal basis
We set necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest and the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR); no consent is legally required for strictly necessary cookies.
We set analytics and marketing cookies solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, in conjunction with Article 129 of the Act of 13 June 2005). You are free to refuse this consent or to withdraw it later without any disadvantage to your use of the website.
5. Managing your consent
On your first visit, the website shows a consent bar where you can choose between "Accept all", "Necessary only" or "Preferences". Under "Preferences" you can enable or disable analytics and marketing cookies separately.
You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. More information is available in your browser's help section:
- Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari and most other browsers allow you to block or clear cookies.
- Please note: if you block necessary cookies, the website may not work correctly.
6. Sharing with third parties
The current necessary cookies are set by AnyShift itself (first-party) and are not shared with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes. If we enable third-party analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will list the providers involved, their role and any transfers outside the European Economic Area in this policy, and we will only set those cookies after your consent.
7. Your rights
You have the rights granted to you by the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data. A full overview and how to exercise these rights can be found in our privacy policy. Requests can be sent to privacy@anyshift.be.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels - www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
8. Changes to this cookie policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time, for example when we enable new cookies or when legislation changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest update. For significant changes, we will ask for your consent again via the consent bar.
