Logistics

Flexible logistics staff
& warehouse jobs

Logistics in Belgium relies heavily on the ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Ghent and on the distribution centres along the main motorways, where loading, unloading and transport continue day and night. Night work is legally defined as work between 20:00 and 06:00, and it is precisely in those hours that transshipment and transport companies often look for extra hands. Students help out too, and AnyShift shows those loading, unloading and distribution shifts per city.

Frequently asked questions about flexi-jobs in Logistics

Can I work in logistics as a student?
Yes, since 2025 students may work up to 650 hours a year at reduced social contributions, including in transport and distribution. Working with forklifts or other moving equipment requires training or a certificate, and minors may not do night work. State in your profile which certificates you hold, and you will immediately see which shifts are open.
Which hours are usual in transport and distribution?
Loading and unloading mainly happens early in the morning, before the lorries leave, and in the early evening when they return. Sorting centres run on night shifts between 20:00 and 06:00, and delivery rounds in the city run during the day. The weeks before the holidays and the Mondays after a sales weekend are the busiest moments.
Do I need a driving licence or certificate for logistics shifts?
For loading, unloading and sorting, good physical fitness is enough, and for vans up to 3.5 tonnes you need a category B licence. Lorries require a category C licence and a certificate of professional competence, and that kind of shift is rarely open for short assignments. So choose shifts that match the certificates you already hold today.
How quickly can I pick up a first logistics shift?
As soon as your profile is complete, you respond to the shifts that companies in your region post. Distribution centres often plan their teams a few days ahead, but with a delayed delivery or a sick colleague shifts also appear for the same day. Those who can handle a night shift usually see more available assignments.
What is the difference between a logistics shift and a warehouse shift?
Logistics shifts are about the movement of goods: loading, unloading, transport and distribution over delivery rounds. In a warehouse it is about what happens inside, such as picking, packing and stock counting. Many companies combine both, so check the task description and the location for every shift.
